THE MATURE FACE

THE MATURE FACE

The Mature Face

As we age, the face undergoes several visible anatomical changes, including bone loss (resorption), fat/volume depletion, and skin thinning due to atrophy. These changes often result in a loss of youthful contours, with deeper lines, hollows, and sagging replacing the once firm and voluminous structure. The face loses both its shape and support.

Structural rejuvenation focuses on restoring these changes by addressing bone loss with deeply placed, high-density fillers and replenishing lost volume in depleted areas using a combination of medium and low-density products. Key treatment areas include:

  • Temporal Hollows: Restoring volume in the temples.
  • Supraorbital Hollows: Filling the hollows above the eyes.
  • Infraorbital Area: Correcting tear trough hollows.
  • Mid-Cheeks: Restoring central volume loss and addressing fat pad migration.
  • Nasolabial Folds: Softening smile lines with volume restoration.
  • Marionette Lines and Chin Shadows: Supporting downturned corners of the mouth and correcting chin recession.
  • Chin, Jawline, and Pre-Jowl Area: Enhancing structural volume to counteract bone density loss and redefine the jawline.

Our signature structural rejuvenation package utilises precisely placed dermal fillers to achieve a refreshed, youthful appearance in minutes, effectively turning back the clock on facial aging.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the treatment take?

Treatment duration may vary based on the number of areas addressed but typically lasts up to 45 minutes.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment involves injections into the skin, which may cause some discomfort. However, a topical local anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand to minimise any pain. The procedure is also relatively quick.

Are there any potential side effects?

As with any injectable treatment, there may be some risk of swelling, bruising, or soreness at the injection sites. Dermal filler injections may also result in a sensation of ‘lumpiness’ where the product has been placed, though this is typically felt rather than visible. In cases of unnatural lumpiness or nodules, these can be reversed if necessary. While rare, there are small but significant risks of infection or vascular occlusion (vessel blockage); however, these complications can be promptly detected and treated.

How long do the results typically last?

The duration of results can vary from person to person, primarily influenced by factors such as lifestyle and genetics. However, in most cases, results typically last for approximately a year.

What should I do if I have concerns about my treatment?

We strive to deliver the best results tailored to your skin type and needs. If you feel your treatment results do not meet your expectations, please contact us. In cases where the results are not optimal, we may offer a touch-up after 2 weeks.

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome, the dermal fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme injection called hyaluronidase.
